CAT offers various classes that teach and empower you as a cyclist! We have basic maintenance classes, advanced mechanic classes, wheel building, and classes that help you become more confident as a cyclist in traffic!<\/p>\n

Basic Bike Maintenance Class – 4 hour course<\/h2>\n

This 4-hour class is an excellent overview of bicycle maintenance for everyone. Learn about tires, tubes, brakes, and even how to adjust derailleurs! You\u2019ll go home with a clean and tuned bike.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Advanced Bike Mechanics Class – 16 hour course<\/h2>\n

This 16-hour class offers a deeper level of mechanical practice. It is for the advanced home mechanic or someone looking to build a career with bicycles.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

Wheel Building Class – 8 Hour Course<\/h2>\n

This 8-hour class offers the full experience of wheel building science and technique. Students will learn about different types of rims, spokes, lacing patterns, calculating spoke lengths, spoke tension, wheel dishing, tools and spoke thread preparation. Over the course of the day, every student will build a wheel from start to finish.<\/p>\n

Smart Cycling – Bicycling Traffic Skills Class<\/h2>\n

This full-day class provides each student with personal experience and perspective as a cyclist in traffic flow. This course builds intuition on cyclists’ issues such as: door zones, lane positioning, communication with motorists, complex intersections, parking, signage, bike lanes, and multi-use paths\/trails. Since all these issues affect cyclist safety and “bikeability” of our cities, this course is a “must”. The course also covers basic bicycle safety check and handling skills which are also an important component of cycling for transportation.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n

CyclingSavvy<\/h2>\n

CyclingSavvy is a comprehensive bicycling traffic safety course for adults and teenagers. It offers bicyclists of any level, the tools to build confidence and foster cooperation with other drivers on the road.<\/p>\n
