Read on&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Bicycling to work is a breakthrough for many people. It offers physical activity and adventure instead of sitting in traffic. While an ideal bicycle commuting distance may be ~5 miles (30 minutes), many people ride their bikes up to 15 miles as they build their endurance.<\/p>\n<h3>CAT supports bicycling to work:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.lvcat.org\/lvcat\/about-cat\/\">CAT Bicycle Cooperative<\/a> and Open Shop &#8211; bring your bike in and learn to take care of it yourself (with a CAT mechanic&#8217;s guidance, as-needed). We also offer guidance on setting up your bike for comfort and having the right accessories (lights, lock, rack, pump).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Route mapping support<\/strong>. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lvcat.org\/lvcat\/contact-us\/\">Contact CAT<\/a> and we will help you find the best streets and trails that can get you where you need to go. What are your preferences about hills, trails or traffic volume?<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mentorship with an instructor<\/strong>. The first time you ride to work, a CAT instructor will meet you and ride with you. Try this on a day off or plan in extra time so that it can be stress-free!<\/li>\n<li>Get confident on your bike with a Smart Cycling or <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lvcat.org\/lvcat\/bike-somewhere\/cyclingsavvy\/\">CyclingSavvy<\/a> class. It will seriously give you a whole new skillset on the road!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CAT is here to help!
