CAT offers a variety of group bike rides:
CAT bike rides are geared to (1) nurture new riders discovering the enjoyment of bicycling, and (2) showcase bike routes that serve useful destinations, i.e. visiting bakeries, coffee shops, local businesses, parks, etc., while utilizing the network of trails and streets.
CAT organizes in-house rides, such as:
- Weekly Women’s rides
- Bakery rides that track down tasty treats around the Lehigh Valley
- Touring Training rides that build distance over the course of the spring/summer
- Full moon bike rides to explore the nightlife along the trail and in our downtowns
CAT also coordinates Outreach Rides in concert with partner organizations to bring new people into bicycling. These rides maximize partner organizations with strong client bases seeking opportunities to engage in the community. Outreach rides do not require participants to have any specific level of fitness or biking ability and are tailored specifically for each group’s goals and needs.
Public rides are posted on the CAT Calendar.
Riders and participants in CAT events are requested to complete an annual CAT Participation Form here.
Participants are also encouraged to join/renew their CAT membership.
Bike rides are organized by CAT-Coalition for Appropriate Transportation. CAT envisions a world where bicycling, walking/ADA accessibility, and public transportation prevail. Learn more at LVCAT.org
Bike rides are being completed in partnership with the Lehigh Valley Greenways Conservation Landscape. Funding is provided in part by a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Bureau of Recreation and Conservation, Environmental Stewardship Fund, administered by Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, Inc.
