CAT Bicycle Cooperative

Visit the CAT Bicycle Cooperative to:

  • Work on your bike. Mechanics are always on-duty to help you learn. CAT has all the tools you’ll need for your project.
  • Build-a-bike for all ages! Youth can log volunteer hours, pick out a bike, and build it with the help of CAT mechanics. Adults in need of a bike can build them as well through our Adult Bicycle Commuter program.
  • Help others with their bikes. We practice a helping hierarchy, where everyone can teach someone something that they know.
  • Hone your skills volunteering on a CAT bike rebuild. Donated bikes generally take 4-6 hours of mechanic time to be restored to better-than-new condition. These bikes are made available: to be earned by community members with limited income and to those who make a suggested donation supporting CAT. More info about
  • Donate a used bicycle, parts, tools, etc. More info about donating a bike, etc.
  • More about refurbished bikes from CAT
  • Free helmets for kids, ages 5-14. Professionally fitted.
  • Get adult bicycle commuter support. Route planning, bike setup, essential accessories, wardrobe – are all vital. More info here.
  • Share your ideas to improve bicycling, pedestrian experience, public transit, and local trails in the Lehigh Valley.
