Genesis Bicycles Owner, Tomias Hinchcliff, Gives Steve Schmitt, Director of CAT-Coalition for Appropriate Transportation a check for $1,620.00
Genesis Bicycles Gives Annual Gift to CAT Bicycle Education Programs
Award-winning, full service bike shop, Genesis Bicycles, today gives $1620 to CAT-Coalition for Appropriate Transportation for continued bicycle education in the Lehigh Valley.
This is the fourth year Genesis owner, Tomias Hinchcliff, has made this award based on his annual sales of bicycles and helmets. The total gift over four years exceeds $6800.
CAT uses the money to buy helmets; print educational brochures; hold special events for children at local schools; and train bicyclists, motorists, and municipal officials about cycling in traffic.
Hinchcliff says, “I am glad to be able to contribute to this vital effort.” He encourages other shop owners to do the same. Genesis Bicycles has been named Shop of the Year by the League of American Bicyclists.
CAT Bike Director, Scott Slingerland, says, “Downtown Easton is a great place to ride a bike and Genesis Bicycles is a big part of that.”
