Using the tools and supplies in the BBC today:

Steve Schmitt did the usual preventative maintenance to keep his bike on the road without issues for another winter week.

Lee Poole-Smith inspected his bike and decided he needs a new set of cones on his front and wheels, new pedals, bottom bracket.

Chris Vitalos visited with his Dahon folding bike he uses when there is snow on the ground. He did a lot of stuff on his bike to clean it up from the road salt. His cassette was essentially fixed in place, but after some tender loving care, it was spinning again like new. Lee helped him adjust his brakes.

Bicycle Heaven Ride:

Our featured destination today is Queen Nutritional Center on Pennsylvania Avenue in Bethlehem.

Have a certified instructor come to your home, check your bike and ride with you to Queens. All for $5! Call 610 954 5744 to make arrangements.

Or pick any destination from which you would like to learn to ride from your home, whether it’s your local trail, a farmers market, or where you work. We will come to your home, check out your bike, go over a few basics, and then ride with you, showing you the best route and optimally safe/pleasant way to ride to the destination of your choice. All for $5!

The BBC offers education classes, Bicycle Heaven Rides and the Bicycle Library program.
