Bethlehem Bicycle Cooperative eNews – Sat. April 13, 2013

The Bethlehem Bicycle Cooperative (BBC) is an educational bike shopopen for members and guests Thursdays from 5-9pm and Saturdays from 8AM to 4PM.

Today we offer a FREE helmet for any child under 10 who comes in with a parent/guardian and bicycle.

The Beier family got all three of their children’s bikes safety checked for just $10. The parents learned how to do a quick safety check of the bikes and the kids got some basic instruction, too. All three children got FREE helmets. They live in the neighborhood, so they will be coming back again soon with the parent’s bikes also.

SPRING PROMOTION!!!!!

Guest passes are just $5 for an individual and $10 for a family today!

Today’s Bicycle Quotation:

“I used to dream about flying all over my neighborhood.  Now I dream about riding my bike.”

Members use BBC Tools with mechanic assistance:

Once again tires pumped, chain lubed, brake pads checked on Steve’s bike.  Lee disassembled the front brake.  Frank Pavlick adjusted the headset.  Frank then decided to swap out the front fork and front brake assembly.  Frank recommended Steve switch to a different lubricant.

Lee’s changing brake levers on his bike.
