Monocacy Way 5K Run Needs Race Director

The Monocacy Way is a beautiful trail; a 5-minute walk from downtown Bethlehem

This is the 3rd year for the Monocacy Way Father’s Day 5K trail run, averaging over 50 participants each  year.  If you have experience directing a run or would like to start your race director career with an easy one, let us know.  Call 610 954 5744 or email cat@car-free.org today.  The race director takes care of the logistics for the race most of which is already arranged for this year.  S/he also helps promote the race to runners and sponsors.

The Monocacy Way 5k Run, Sunday, June 16, 2013, 9AM celebrates the beautiful urban trail along the Monocacy Creek just a 5-minute walk from downtown Bethlehem.

The event benefits CAT-Coalition for Appropriate Transportation trail programs to popularize the Monocacy Way.  “CAT supports urban trails to make recreation more accessible to walkers, cyclists and those relying on public transportation,” says CAT Director, Steve Schmitt.

The MW5K is sponsored by the Bethlehem Police Department which stables their horses along the trail.

The MW5K starts and ends at Burnside Plantation.

 Bethlehem Parks & Public Property Department maintains the Monocacy Way.
