Bike Education:

Ken Burak discussed riding a bike in Bethlehem, particularly on the bridges over the Lehigh.  Ken feels stressed by people yelling and honking at him.  Steve points out the way to minimize this behavior is riding with respect for oneself by being far enough out in the road to be easily seen and riding predictably.  Cyclists who obey all traffic laws such as obeying red lights, going the same direction as other vehicles on the road, walking the bike on the sidewalk and using lights at night greatly reduce the stress of traffic for everyone.  The correct response to any communication is always a positive reply such as “Have a great day.”

Barry Shook learned from Lee Poole-Smith about maintaining his cables.
