Rest easy mighty steed.
The 17th Annual What’s On Third? Spring on Fourth Street Festival & Chili Cook-Offwill feature bicycling. The FREE monitored bicycle parking lot is moving to the intersection of New Street and the Greenway. Bicycle education will be added to the mix and prizes, including passes for 20 FREE Chile samples, will be given away to people who bike to the festival.
The Bicycle Heaven Ride at 10AM on April 21 will travel from the Bethlehem Bicycle Cooperative to the Street Festival. Anyone going on this ride will receive a 10-Taste Chili Sampling Passport. There will be additional Bicycle Heaven Rides from the BBC to the Festival each hour.
There will be activities going on all day at the bicycle parking location. There will also be the opportunity to enter for and win other great prizes from CAT. So be sure to stop by even if you are not one of the early birds.
The Bethlehem Bicycle Cooperative (BBC) is open for Members and Guests every Thursday from 5-9pm and Saturday from 8AM to 4PM. We are located at 14 West Raspberry in beautiful, downtown Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
The parking was monitored by Anne Connors, Joshua Buck and Roy Young. 26 people came by bicycle and used the monitored bicycle parking. Following the festival, CAT volunteers picked up all the garbage on Third, Fourth and New Streets.

Esme Montgomery received instruction on helmet fit, bike fit, bike type, ABC Quick Check, starting & stopping, basic skills and emergency stop.
Esme Montgomery took her first traffic ride with an LCI. Steve Schmitt rode with Esme around historic bethlehem demonstrating avoiding the door zone, entering traffic, stopping at red lights, riding the correct direction and lane position.
Gary Lader and Esme Montgomery rode with Steve Schmitt to the Chili Festival. Gary also rode back to the BBC.
