Great Volunteers at CAT

 

Wayne Stradercontinues to keep the financial ship afloat by managing the checking account, printing the checks, processing the check request forms and deposits, filing all tax forms and various other and sundry accounting for CAT.  Without Wayne we would not be functioning today.

 

Barbara O. Rowley – GIS data mapped the trails of Allentown; single handedly leading the fight to make it possible to walk across and along Cedar Crest Boulevard, contributor to the new Try Transit Blog and co-writer of the CAT leadership editorial on public transportation.

                                                                                 

Hannae Pavlick -  works  11 to 3 every weekday, staffing the office as secretary, handling all deposits, new members data entry & thank you letters; and cycling/transit/pedestrian expert.  Staffed a table for CAT at the Green Man Festival and the South Side Environmental Fair.  Weeded the planters along Broad Street.

 

Karen Earl-Braymer – works on data entry every Monday at her home; entered complete municipal officials list from Lehigh Valley Planning Commission each of the last two years.

 

Peter Christine Volunteer Coordinator on Saturdays, filing reports like this one.  Peter has been working for nearly half a year, two or three Saturdays a month.

 

Van Duong – created the internet maps of the trails of Allentown on Google Earth

 

John Hoffer – recycles almost every Saturday, stripping bikes and taking materials to recycling centers

 

Julie Vitale – makes all upgrades to the database design, volunteers for evening meetings representing CAT, works in office to relieve Steve from having to be here

 

Wendy Riedy – maintains the lvbike.info Lehigh Valley Bicycling website; assisting Nathan with website re-write

 

Ed Kay – Maintains regional trails map on the lvbike.info site; worked on car-free.org website design;

 

Robin Spilner – CAT Assistant Director, clips newspaper and television stories electronically, creates editorials, photo albums, blog and other efforts to express CAT points of view to the general public

 

Mark Gotti – bus rider who came to CAT through the

Carrie Kauffman – owner of Gifted Cleaning; cleaned office carpet; donated green cleaning supplies and great used vacuum.

 

Anne Felker – attends Bethlehem Traffic Advisory Committee meetings representing CAT; worked up contract for PENNDOT $80,000 grant

 

Nathan Sokalski – rewriting the code for the CAT website to get it out of cold fusion.
