Bicycle education event programming generally includes: (1) bike inspections using trained mechanics, (2) helmet fittings and (3) basic skills course to test students' awareness and bike handling skills.
CAT coordinates a number of bicycle education events every year. Between 2009-2010, CAT coordinated 27 events that instructed 877 children, ages 3 to 12 years old. Bicycle education events organized by CAT are run by League Cycling Instructors, certified by the League of American Bicyclists.
We always need LCIs to teach and CAT members to staff info tables!

April 2nd or 5th (TBD) - Spring Break Bike Derby (West Ward, Easton), 2pm - 4pm
April 9th - Easton Area High School, Bikeability Presentation for Earth Day, 1pm
April 16, 17, 18th - Genesis Bicycles BikeBake Sale to benefit bike education (Easton)
April 24th - Spring on Fourth Ride (Southside Bethlehem)
May 15th - Cheston Elementary School (Southside Easton), 10am - 1pm
May 22nd - Bike Safety Day at Easton Farmers' Market (at Center Square), 9am - 1pm
June 23rd - Forks Township Bike Derby, 9am - 1pm
